God’s Simple Plan of Salvation
A – Admit that you are a sinner and that you want to turn from your sin. Romans
3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Sin separates us
from God and causes us to die. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord."
B – Believe that God loves you and that Jesus died for you to pay for your sin.
Romans 5:8“ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. ” Jesus took your judgment and made it possible for
you to be forgiven. By rising from the dead, Jesus made it possible for you to
have a new life.
C – Commit your life to Jesus and turn away from your sin. Just as you change
directions when you realize you are walking the wrong way, you must repent, and
turn away from your sin. Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved.” You must talk to God through prayer and tell Him
your heart’s desire. You can repeat this simple prayer from your heart.
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins, and only
through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from
my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day
on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for
saving me. Amen.”
